My Beltane

I know it's been done numerous times before, but I decided that I wanted to do a series on the sabbats. Having said that, my versions aren't necessarily going to reflect the standard Wheel of the Year stories. The common interpretations can be found almost anywhere, so I thought that I would depict what they mean to me, personally - more in line with how I actually celebrate.

The sabbat dates are more of a time for reflection for me as I honour Nature, and all that is hers, each and every day. Now, for me, for Beltane, it's about making something manifest, and the planning that is required to do this. By the beginning of May I am finally warm and everything is growing like fun. Having a riding stable means that the upcoming summer is the busiest time of year, with students coming out our ears, summer camps, and haying. All of that, is of course, on top of everything else that regularly has to be done. So, the beginning of May is when I sit down and plan out my summer, and my ritual reflects this. My planning is usually done in the barn using one of the horses rumps as my desk (or out in the hay fields). They clear my head and usually allow me to see the big picture enough to have most things run smoothly. Can anyone really ask for anything more than that?
