Commissions

Fri Oct 28, 2011, 7:54 AM
Lately I have been getting asked about whether or not I will do commissions, so I thought that I would make it official: I am, indeed, open for commissioned work, and am very much looking forward to doing a great deal more of it.

In all honesty, I must say, that with each request I have been most honoured and surprised.  I never imagined that I would do any commissioned pieces because, truly, I never in my wildest dreams thought anyone would ever like my work enough, never mind buy it.  So to those for whom I have created art, I send to you my deepest gratitudes.  You are all greatly appreciated, as with each piece I grow as an artist.  I know I still have a lot to learn, but I am really loving the journey.

My pieces are reasonably priced at $10.00/hour, and a standard render usually takes three to five hours.  Although, depending on what it is you're looking for, this could be subject to change.

So, having said all of that, should you be interested in commissioning a render in my style, please do not hesitate to contact me; I am always here.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Vicki

Is rendering time also charged? and what are your thoughts on background vs. no background?

No, for the most part rendering time is not charged unless we are talking about a truly crazy number of hours, but my computer contains studio components and a ton of working memory, so rendering time isn't usually an issue. Having said that, each case is unique, but going by law of averages, this is my safe answer.

Background vs no? Well, that really depends upon what the client wishes. I have done both. It's whatever is asked for.

Thanks so much for the interest. Should you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
